Camp Ronald McDonald is a rental facility that collaborates with other non-profit groups to provide residential summer camping experiences for both children and adults with disabilities and/or disadvantaged. The User Groups are responsible for cabin counselors and medical support specific to their populations. Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake hires a core staff of 13 to provide program activities, food service and facility maintenance.


Program

Camp has 7 paid positions that will provide students the complete experience of Recreational Therapy in a Camp setting. We need Specialists to plan, implement and organize activities in the following areas: Sports, Outdoor Education, Waterfront, Drama and Arts & Crafts. We also employ a Program Director who supervises and coordinates all the program activities. All of the positions open will provide individuals the experience of working with a variety of populations including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, autism, PDD, ADD/HD, muscular dystrophy, hearing imparities, and mental health issues. Past employees from Pennsylvania, California, Minnesota and Texas have walked away with skills, knowledge and wonderful memories.

Food Service

Camp has five paid positions that will provide students the complete experience of Food Service in a Camp setting. The program in the past has been extremely successful and has pulled students from Arizona, Wisconsin, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania and California. All those who have participated have found it a unique Food Service Experience that allows dietetic students the ability first hand to touch the lives of special children through nutrition. This experience has been quoted to be 'life internship' as well.

Facility Management

Camp is looking for a motivated, handy individual to assist in sanitation, maintenance and upkeep of Camp's beautiful, accessible grounds and buildings. Our maintenance staff is an integral part of the Camp Ronald McDonald team and contributes to each and every campers magical experience at Camp.
